Lab37 Robotics in Los Angeles is seeking a Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer to own major product areas across frontend, backend, cloud, and robot-adjacent interfaces. You will partner with product, culinary, and operations teams to turn operational problems into reliable software and scale the Los Angeles team.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, drive engineering quality, and contribute to a culture of strong technical standards while delivering end-to-end capabilities for kitchen

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of complex systems or initiatives across multiple components.
• Ability to lead technical design in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Strong backend experience (Go preferred) and frontend skills with modern TypeScript frameworks (Vue helpful).
• Experience designing APIs, services, data models, and event-driven workflows.
• Proven ability to translate operational problems into simple software and improve architecture, reliability, or observability.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver complex full-stack initiatives across UI, backend, cloud, and external integrations.
• Lead architecture and design to balance speed, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, culinary, operations to clarify requirements and define pragmatic solutions.
• Build software for configuring and monitoring kitchen operations, including orders, menus, recipes, tasks, and alerts.
• Integrate with delivery and commerce platforms to synchronize menus and orders.
• Create operator-facing interfaces for production environments and work with firmware/robotics teams for cohesion.
• Own rollout, testing, observability, and incident response; drive iterative improvements.
• Mentor engineers and elevate development practices and technical standards in LA team.
• Contribute to hiring and calibration as the team grows.
