Job summary

Axon is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Real-Time Operations team in Boston. You will own client architecture and frontend foundations, defining how to build scalable, configurable experiences across markets. Lead architecture decisions and mentor engineers to ship fast without fragmenting the platform.

You’ll oversee cross-cutting concerns, drive performance, and champion AI-assisted engineering while collaborating with product and design to deliver durable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing frontend architecture at scale.
• Strong TS and modern frameworks (Angular/React).
• Experience building configurable platforms for multiple regions.

Responsibilities

• Define client architecture strategy for RTO across markets.
• Shape platform configurability and extensibility on a shared foundation.
• Set frontend architecture, module boundaries, libraries, and build/delivery systems.
• Maintain cross-cutting concerns: auth, logging, localization, accessibility.
• Drive reliability, performance, observability, and resilience for real-time UX.
