Job summary

Envoy is seeking a Staff Full-Stack Engineer (L5) to join the San Francisco HQ. You will lead major features end-to-end, designing systems, writing production code across the stack, and mentoring peers. This on-site role requires 4 days/week in the SF office at 410 Townsend St.

You’ll partner with Product, Design, and other engineers to transform ambiguous problems into reliable software. We value depth across frontend and backend, a track record of multi-quarter initiatives, strong system

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10–12 years of software engineering experience shipping and operating production systems at scale.
• Genuine full-stack depth across frontend and backend with problem ownership.
• Led complex multi-quarter initiatives from inception to launch.

Responsibilities

• Lead major product features end-to-end: problem definition, solution exploration, system design, code execution, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade services and user-facing experiences across the full stack.
• Create clean abstractions and reusable systems to accelerate velocity and reduce complexity.
• Own the quality, security, availability, and performance of the systems.
• Drive technical decisions within your team and influence others.
• Respond to incidents, identify bottlenecks, and eliminate toil.
• Deliver excellent software through peer review, CI, and automated testing.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to senior and mid-level engineers.
