Job summary

Envoy seeks a Senior Fullstack Engineer to own features end-to-end across frontend and backend, touching UI, APIs, and data models. The role emphasizes equal depth across stack and architectural contributions.

This on-site position requires four days per week at our San Francisco HQ, with collaboration across Product, Design, and Engineering, and a product-minded, high-quality delivery mindset.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building production software with fullstack contributions.
• Strong frontend fundamentals: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Backend experience designing RESTful/GraphQL APIs with TypeScript/Java/Kotlin/Ruby on Rails.
• Experience designing relational schemas and working with Postgres.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and CI/CD workflows.
• Product-minded with focus on usability, performance, and impact.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-quality, scalable features across the full stack—frontend UI, backend services, and APIs.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver thoughtful, user-centered solutions.
• Design and evolve backend systems: APIs, data models, and services consumed by web and mobile clients.
• Build performant, accessible frontend experiences using React and modern web technologies.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, shared components, and engineering standards across the stack.
• Design and optimize relational data models (Postgres) and improve system performance and observability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering quality.
• Own features end-to-end, from discovery and design through launch and iteration.
