Job summary

AB InBev Growth Group is seeking a Staff Full Stack Engineer (Backend Focus) to build and operate the backend of a Web Analytics and AI portal. You will own APIs, the read data path, authentication, and integration with internal services for commercial intelligence.

This hands-on individual contributor role sits on a lean Staff team, with architecture direction by the Staff Architect and AI engineers owning agents. You will write, review, and operate code end-to-end, including UI when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a quantitative field.
• A master's degree or PhD is a plus.
• Experience designing, building, and operating distributed backend services in production.
• Track record of end-to-end feature delivery and production ownership.
• Experience in software design for reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Build the backend and ship features end to end.
• Design, implement, test, and operate backend services with latency, availability, and cost targets.
• Own authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant access control.
• Integrate with internal services including AI agents and streaming responses.
• Profile services, reduce tail latency, and optimize cost per request.
• Define SLIs/SLOs, alerts, and dashboards; participate in on-call.
• Rise the team's technical bar through code reviews and testing standards.
• Use code-generation and AI tools as part of workflow and verify results.
