Ōura is seeking a highly experienced Full Stack Developer to join the Human Care Ecosystem Team in the US. This hybrid role in San Francisco combines leadership, hands-on development, and cross-functional collaboration to expand our health-focused platform for global users.

You will contribute to partnerships and B2B initiatives, build scalable web services on AWS, and ensure secure, maintainable code. A strong TypeScript/React background is essential, with Python a plus.

We are looking for a highly experienced Full Stack Developer to join the Human Care Ecosystem Team in the US. The Human Care Ecosystem Team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the company’s partnership integrations, healthcare, and B2B products. The ideal candidate wants to understand our users and listen to their needs, proactively advocates for technical investments, and is passionate about delivering quality code. We strongly value initiative and end-to-end ownership: taking a rough idea, working with others to turn it into a concrete feature or product, deploying it, and monitoring its usage to make sure it solves the intended needs.

What You Will Do:

• Provide technical leadership for full stack development within the mission. Guide technology and design choices and mentor the other full stack developers.
• Contribute to experiences that improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of people across the globe and expand the company’s use cases into new markets through partnerships, healthcare, and B2B initiatives.
• Partner with product managers and designers to deliver accessible, responsive, and user-friendly experiences.
• Take ownership of high-quality solutions from design through production, monitoring, and documentation—while helping shape best practices across the engineering lifecycle.
• Apply strong software engineering expertise to solve ambiguous problems, improve architecture, and enable the platform to scale to new product capabilities.
• Ensure platform compliance with the latest security, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate effectively in a globally distributed, diverse team and adapt as the company evolves and new opportunities arise.

This is a hybrid role out of our San Francisco office.

What you’ll bring:

• Have 10+ years of practical full-stack web development work experience
• Have extensive experience with Typescript and modern client-side frameworks such as React (Python experience is a plus but not required)
• Write code that is highly maintainable, extensible, well-tested, and easy-to-understand
• Have architected, built, and deployed scalable, performant web services in production on AWS or similar platforms, and can apply architectural patterns and best practices to new and existing products
• Have a pragmatic entrepreneurial attitude and delivery-focused mindset: you understand tradeoffs between short-term goals and long-term tech debt and focus on delivering what’s most important
• Have a team-oriented mindset and enjoy working in a diverse environment with distributed teams

Ōura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Region 3 $169,150 - $199,000
