Job summary

Relativity Space in the United States is seeking a senior frontend platform engineer to own the frontend platform behind our operator UI—the application shell, design system, and shared data layer that underpins all features.

Lead the architecture, consolidate multiple front ends into a single platform, and set the technical direction. You will optimize real-time telemetry rendering, mentor engineers, and collaborate with propulsion, manufacturing, software, and avionics teams to ship fast.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building production web applications.
• Experience owning a frontend platform, design system, or large shared codebase.
• Strong frontend performance skills: profiling and optimization.
• Experience architecting state management and data flow for data-intensive apps (Redux, streaming/WebSocket data, Web Workers).
• Ability to set cross-team architecture and mentor senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend platform behind the operator UI—application shell, design system, and shared data layer.
• Define architecture and contribution model for domain teams to ship UI modules into a cohesive application.
• Lead the consolidation of several front ends into a single, unified operator platform.
• Build for hard real-time rendering of live hardware telemetry.
• Set technical direction and quality bar for frontend across the org, and mentor engineers.
