Job summary

Ridgeline is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to lead UI modernization on the Market Data team. You will steer modernization efforts, guide developers, and drive the Instrument Master UI migration, ensuring quality across front-end initiatives.

You will collaborate with product managers and backend teams to define specifications, advance API contracts, and raise the codebase quality with automated tests and modern patterns. Ridgeline values ownership and transparent communication.

Qualifications

10+ years of front-end development experience.
Expertise in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Experience with UI testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Jest).
Experience mentoring engineers and leading modernization projects.
Experience migrating legacy UI to modern tech stacks.
Experience in Agile environments and driving code quality.

Responsibilities

Lead UI modernization efforts for Ridgeline's Market Data team.
Guide early- to mid-career developers with coding best practices.
Define a UI strategy aligned with product goals and unify shared capabilities.
Collaborate with product managers to translate user needs into technical specs.
Lead front-end initiatives to adopt modern UI practices and set coding standards.
Contribute to Instrument Master UI migration and risk mitigation.
Improve maintainability and increase test coverage; refactor legacy code.
