Job summary

Ridgeline is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to lead UI modernization on the Market Data team and drive the Instrument Master migration from legacy patterns to modern front-end practices. You’ll shape the UI direction and deliver scalable, user-focused interfaces across surfaces.

You will mentor engineers, set coding standards, collaborate with product and backend teams on API specs, testing strategies, and cross-team UI initiatives that raise quality and cohesion across Ridgeline’s platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in front-end development with leadership of UI modernization.
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, and Jest testing frameworks.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and guide career growth.
• Experience migrating legacy systems to modern stacks in agile env.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate UI components for modernization and research new patterns.
• Guide early- to mid-career developers through reviews and feedback.
• Define a UI strategy aligned with product goals and unify shared capabilities.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate user needs into specs.
• Lead frontend initiatives to adopt modern UI practices and improve code quality.
• Contribute to Instrument Master UI migration and risk mitigation.
• Analyze codebase, boost test coverage, refactor legacy code.
• Define API specifications for frontend/backend integration.
