Job summary

Topsteptrader in the United States is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build a custom charting engine for the TopstepX trading platform. This role requires extensive frontend engineering experience, particularly in rendering libraries and APIs.

The engineer will oversee the architecture, performance standards, and mentor junior team members. The ideal candidate has a strong background in TypeScript and React, with proven ability in real-time rendering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of frontend engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript including strict mode and advanced generics.
• Deep proficiency in React, including production experience designing component libraries.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core systems of the charting engine.
• Own the library architecture including the public API.
• Lead architectural reviews and mentor engineers.
