Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with architecture/design of new products.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience applying design patterns and SOLID principles with automated unit tests.
• Ability to navigate complex codebases and learn new tech independently.
• Clear communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply trading domain knowledge and quantitative expertise to design solutions where engineering, strategy, and product intersect
• Participate across the full software development lifecycle including requirements, design reviews, and ongoing platform expansion
• Shape and optimize a tech stack built on AWS back-end services for scalable, robust applications
• Contribute to developer automation and tooling that support high-quality, scalable delivery
• Advocate pragmatic design and development best practices across the team
• Coach and mentor product engineers delivering secure, high-performance enterprise applications
• Collaborate in a learning-oriented environment grounded in transparency and shared ownership

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a history of architecting and designing new products
• Expert-level proficiency in Java or Kotlin
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
• Demonstrated experience applying design patterns, OOAD/SOLID principles, and writing automated unit tests
• Motivation to explore and adopt new technologies and navigate complex codebases independently
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Nice to have

• Experience engineering buy-side order management systems
• Working knowledge of complex financial instruments and their valuations
