Job summary

Castlight Health is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to shape consumer health experiences. You will design and deploy white-labeled micro-frontends, drive architecture decisions, and deliver fast, polished interfaces across our platforms.

You will work autonomously within an agile team, mastering modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks (Angular, React, Vue) to create scalable, high-quality web applications that improve user outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Deep mastery of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS.
• Expert-level knowledge in Angular or React/Vue with fast adaptation.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining micro-frontend architectures at scale.
• Strong UX intuition and focus on web performance and usability.
• Autonomous contributor who ships production code quickly.
• Clear communication of architectural decisions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Scale: design, build, and maintain high-performing, white-labeled micro-frontends using Angular, TypeScript, and modern web standards.
• Elevate UX Performance: polish consumer-facing apps for elite performance, accessibility, and micro-interactions.
• Drive Weekly Impact: prioritize ruthlessly and execute high-leverage opportunities that move the product forward.
• Set Frontend Standards: establish best practices for state management, component reuse, and build pipelines.
