Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer for the Dashboard Product team to craft high-quality, high-performance frontend experiences for merchants. You will mentor early-career engineers, explore AI-powered interactions, and shape frontend standards across the Dashboard.

You will collaborate with designers and backend engineers to deliver intuitive, reliable interfaces and help merchants understand and act on their data with ease.

Qualifications

• This is a Staff-level role with 10+ years of experience building large-scale, user-facing web apps.
• Deep expertise in modern frontend development with a high level of visual precision.
• Track record of improving UI consistency and polish across large, distributed products.
• Experience translating design intent into production frontend implementations.
• Ability to navigate a large codebase and bring coherence to high-traffic surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend quality, consistency, and craft of Stripe Dashboard's highest-traffic pages.
• Identify opportunities to improve consistency, performance, and polish across the Dashboard.
• Partner with Design and Product, serving as the frontend feasibility voice and setting implementation standards.
• Contribute to and advocate for Stripe's design system across surfaces.
• Establish frontend quality standards, including patterns and code-review practices for junior engineers.
• Prototype and explore AI-powered experiences that enhance merchant interaction with Stripe products.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on integration while keeping frontend craft central.
