Job summary

Affi is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend to set the technical direction for the checkout experience. You will lead design and raise the bar for frontend engineering across core flows, aiming for fast, clear, and reliable checkout.

You will own technical strategy, collaborate across product, design, and analytics, and foster quality and ownership within the team. Strong communication and 8+ years of frontend experience are required, with a focus on React or Vue.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and delivering high-quality code.
• Experience turning ambiguity into architecture with clear execution plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics to ensure sustainable solutions.
• Champion technical solutions and operational processes as a force multiplier.
• Owning team operations, monitoring, triage, playbooks and on-call readiness.
• Raise code and design standards and advocate them beyond the team.
• Develop talent through feedback and leadership by example.
