Job summary

Affi is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend, to set the technical direction for Affi’s checkout experience. You’ll lead the design of the next generation of Affi’s frontend, raising the bar for performance, reliability, and user clarity across core checkout flows.

You have 8+ years building web apps with React or Vue, strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, and a track record delivering major features and system components.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience delivering major features or components with a clear technical plan.
• Able to operate across low-level language concepts to large-system architecture.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon and align with business priorities.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to ensure sustainability and risk awareness.
• Act as a force-multiplier by defining and advocating technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own team operations, monitoring, triage, playbooks, and on-call readiness.
• Foster quality and ownership by establishing code review and design standards.
• Mentor and develop talent within the team.
