Job summary

MLabs Ltd seeks a Staff Frontend Engineer to own core mobile and web surfaces, driving frontend initiatives including new order types, asset integrations, and social features. The role emphasizes strong React expertise, autonomy, and collaboration within a fast-paced fintech/Web3 environment.

Our client is a high-growth fintech and Web3 technology company currently serving over two million users. Backed by top-tier venture capital firms, the organization has raised substantial Series B funding to scale its platform, expand product offerings, and maintain high engineering standards while accelerating development velocity.

The company is seeking an experienced, autonomous Staff Frontend Engineer to take ownership of its core mobile and web application surfaces. In this role, the engineer will drive critical frontend initiatives—including the rollout of new order types, support for additional asset classes (such as perpetuals and prediction markets), and the expansion of key social features.

The ideal candidate possesses deep mastery of React, operates effectively with a high degree of autonomy, and thrives in a fast-paced, in-person environment. While focused on frontend architecture, engineers are empowered to contribute across the stack whenever beneficial.

Requirements

• Application Ownership: Lead and architect frontend development across primary platforms, including a mobile application (built with Expo) and a web application (built with React Router and Vite).
• Feature Development: Design, build, and deploy high-impact features such as advanced order types, new financial asset integrations, and engaging social functionalities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with a lean, specialized engineering team to deliver scalable, secure, and performant user interfaces.
• Full-Stack Flexibility: Make impactful contributions across the technical stack (including TypeScript-based backend services) as needed to drive product momentum.
• Autonomous Execution: Independently translate strategic product goals into comprehensive technical plans and execute them efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience Level: Staff-level engineering background with 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Frontend Expertise: Deep understanding and hands‑on mastery of React and modern frontend ecosystems.
• Autonomy & Execution: Proven track record of independently designing, planning, and delivering complex engineering initiatives from concept to launch.
• Location & Work Style: Willingness to work in‑person at the client’s office in SoHo, New York City.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Web3 / Crypto Experience: Prior background building applications within the crypto ecosystem, particularly with Solana or EVM environments.
• Full-Stack Capabilities: Familiarity with TypeScript backend environments.
• AI Tool Integration: Familiarity or experience with AI‑native workflows and agentic development tools.
• Domain Interest: Personal familiarity or interest in cryptocurrency trading.
