Job summary

SimpliSafe in Boston, MA, offering a hybrid work model, is seeking a Staff Front End Software Engineer to shape the future of our e-commerce platform. You’ll tackle design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable front-end systems that power our customer journey from discovery to checkout and beyond.

You’ll collaborate with product, marketing, data analytics, and operations to deliver fast, reliable experiences, mentor engineers, and set quality standards across a large React codebase

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Ability to lead or develop full-stack solutions end-to-end.
• Mentor engineers and set engineering standards.
• Expert with React and modern JS frameworks, including SSR/CSR/SSG.
• Experience with design systems and large-scale React apps.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript for production apps.
• Experience designing REST and GraphQL APIs with NestJS or Express.
• Knowledge of SQL and ORM (TypeORM, Prisma).
• Cloud-native development on AWS; infrastructure as code.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development.
• Collaborative, Agile, and continuous delivery mindset.
• Desire to build new capabilities and integrate with data/third-party systems.

Responsibilities

• Build solutions for our e-commerce platform including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Create reliable services to meet customer needs with proper testing.
• Work with marketing teams to ensure fast, high-quality online shopping experience.
• Collaborate with data analytics to capture and leverage data for decisions.
• Coordinate with operations to connect with fulfillment and shipping services.
• Collaborate with QA to run quality E2E tests during CI/CD.
• Build reporting services and self-service internal tools.
