Job summary

Horizon3, a fully remote cybersecurity company, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Core Front-End team to shape user experiences across the NodeZero platform. You’ll drive long-term scalability, consistency, and usability while partnering with Design, Product, and back-end engineers to build for scale.

You will lead architectural direction, establish engineering standards, and mentor engineers across multiple teams, accelerating development velocity in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building modern web applications at scale.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Strong understanding of modern front-end architecture and design.
• Experience leading large technical initiatives across multiple teams.
• Experience designing reusable component systems and scalable UI patterns.
• Strong knowledge of application state management, asynchronous data flows, and API integration patterns.
• Experience improving front-end performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across frontend and full-stack systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end architecture decisions across the Horizon3 platform.
• Design scalable, maintainable UI patterns and reusable components.
• Drive large cross-functional initiatives with multiple engineering teams.
• Reduce technical debt across shared front-end infrastructure.
• Define front-end best practices, standards, and guidelines.
• Improve reliability, observability, accessibility, and performance.
