Job summary

Cytek Biosciences, Inc. in Bellevue, WA, seeks a Staff FPGA Engineer to lead architecture, development, integration, and support of FPGA-based platforms across Cytek's flow cytometry and imaging instrumentation.

You will translate system requirements into FPGA architectures, collaborate with hardware and software teams, and drive high-performance, real-time processing from concept to sustaining engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years FPGA development experience for scientific instrumentation or similar.
• Expert-level Verilog/SystemVerilog design and implementation.
• Strong understanding of digital design principles including timing analysis, state machines, and verification.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces including PCIe and Ethernet.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, implementation, and verification of FPGA-based subsystems using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA architectures, interface definitions, and implementation plans.
• Lead FPGA bring-up, debugging, subsystem integration, and system-level testing activities.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to deliver integrated instrument platforms.
• Mentor engineers in FPGA design, verification, debugging, and development best practices.
