Job summary

Cytek Biosciences in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Staff FPGA Engineer to lead architecture, development, integration, and support of FPGA-based platforms across its flow cytometry and imaging instrumentation portfolio.

You will design Verilog/SystemVerilog subsystems, optimize throughput and latency, establish reusable FPGA frameworks, and collaborate with hardware, software, optics, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated instrument solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years FPGA development experience for scientific instrumentation or similar.
• Expert-level Verilog/SystemVerilog design and implementation.
• Strong digital design, timing analysis, and verification knowledge.
• Experience with PCIe, Ethernet, memory interfaces, and high-speed I/O.
• Ability to lead technically complex projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, implementation, and verification of FPGA subsystems.
• Develop FPGA pipelines for real-time signal and image processing.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, optics, and manufacturing teams.
• Establish reusable FPGA frameworks, IP, and verification methodologies.
• Drive system bring-up, debugging, and system-level testing activities.
