Staff Forward Deployed AI Solutions Engineer
Direct vibe-coding role — building and running LLM-powered agents, integrations, RAG, and evals in production.
About the Role
Lead the design, build, deployment, and operation of AI agents and automation pipelines within a specific business domain to dramatically accelerate workflows and deliver measurable business KPIs. Partner with domain leadership and the central AI & Automation team to productionize agentic patterns, ensure observability, and scale reusable assets across the company.
Job Description
Role
The Staff Forward Deployed AI Solutions Engineer will be embedded in a business domain (e.g., Commercial, Clinical Operations, Lab Operations, Sales & Marketing, Customer Experience) to find high-leverage automation opportunities and deliver agentic workflows into production. You will report to the central AI & Automation team, partner with domain leaders, and standardize successful patterns across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Map existing and potential workflows and identify where AI/automation can provide 10–100x improvements in throughput, coverage, or speed.
- Build the business case, quantify impact, and align priorities with domain leadership.
- Design future-state workflows, mapping structured and unstructured data flows across systems (CRM, ERP, ticketing, document stores, external SaaS).
- Define agent vs. human responsibilities and design human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
- Stand up agents and automation pipelines using approved AI platforms and frameworks.
- Integrate agents with business systems via MCP servers, APIs, webhooks, CLIs, and skills while adhering to IT/security guardrails.
- Configure prompts, retrieval, context, and training so agents perform reliably in production environments.
- Handle integration challenges such as auth, schema drift, rate limits, and data quality.
- Operate agents in production: own performance KPIs (throughput, quality, cost, human intervention rate, cycle time, adoption).
- Build and manage evals; re-run evaluations for any material model, data, or workflow change.
- Triage failures, tune prompts and context, iterate and retire agents when appropriate.
- Instrument observability: tracing, structured logs, dashboards.
Requirements
- Hands-on technical fluency with CLIs, APIs, webhooks, SQL, and Python scripting.
- Working knowledge of LLM and agent behavior (prompting, context, tool use, RAG, MCP, evals, failure modes).
- Comfortable and experienced with a cloud platform.
- Strong technical and process judgment; experience driving KPI-oriented outcomes and defending prioritization.
- Trustworthy with elevated access: familiarity with least-privilege principles, auditability, and safe rollbacks.
Nice to have
- Prior experience delivering measurable outcomes in partnership with business teams.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise agentic platforms or model APIs (CrewAI, LangChain, AWS Bedrock, Claude, Codex).
- Background in product management, solutions engineering, consulting, forward-deployed engineering, or technical operations.
- Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, GxP, SOX).
Success in year one
- Ship three or more production workflows that measurably move business KPIs, with agent evals and observability.
- Be engaged by domain leadership in planning early.
- Contribute reusable assets adopted by other engineers.
- Enable non-builders to operate or extend workflows using provided artifacts.
Compensation
- Base salary ranges listed in the posting: Standard cost of living areas: $152,100–$190,100; Higher cost areas: $167,300–$209,100; Lower cost areas: $136,900–$171,100. Additional components such as bonus and equity are included.

- Free testing for employees and immediate families and fertility care benefits.
- Pregnancy and baby bonding leave, 401(k) benefits, commuter benefits, and an employee referral program.
