Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Staff Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer to lead design, development, integration and testing of instrumentation for flight activities. You will guide the team from concept through flight testing, owning configurations and test procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in STEM and 12+ years of related experience, or Master of Science in STEM with 10+ years, or STEM PhD with 8+ years.
  • Ability to transfer and maintain Top Secret clearance and any program access required.
  • Professional experience with telemetry, RF, onboard recording systems, ground stations, or sub-systems.
  • Experience with specialized Instrumentation test equipment/sensors (e.g., Strain Gages, Accelerometers, Pressure Transducers).

Responsibilities

  • Develop Flight Test Instrumentation processes, procedures, and modifications of instrumentation drawings.
  • Define Instrumentation system configurations and signal conditioning requirements.
  • Perform engineering design tasks and participate in design reviews.
  • Design and maintain TTC Airborne Data Acquisition Systems and onboard Data Monitoring Station.
