Job summary

Rippling is seeking an experienced senior software engineer to lead the technical direction for Procurement, Bill Pay, and Banking products. You will design scalable, fault-tolerant systems and collaborate with product and engineering leadership to align roadmaps with business goals.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural integrity, and own outcomes from both business and technical perspectives, in a role critical to the company’s financial operations platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack development.
• Experience designing large-scale, fault-tolerant systems from scratch.
• Strong ownership and ability to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps.
• Proficiency with modern coding languages and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical leader for Procurement, Bill Pay, and Banking product areas, ensuring architectural integrity and stability.
• Drive hands-on technical architecture and design for large-scale, fault-tolerant systems that handle money movement.
• Liaise between product and engineering leadership, translating business objectives into technical roadmaps and executing high-impact projects.
• Mentor and grow engineers on the team, raising engineering quality and processes in mission-critical financial systems.
