AMD is seeking a Finance/Accounting professional to partner with Procurement leadership and manage GOQ financial activities. The role focuses on strategic analysis for key customers, contract review, SOX compliance, month‑end close, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong teamwork, excellent communication, and the ability to navigate fast‑moving environments. Semiconductor/tech experience is a plus. This role is based in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Finance and/or accounting professional experience required or preferred.
• Industry experience in semiconductor or high‑tech sector is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with international teams.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve and lead cross‑functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Consolidate / coordinate quarterly close activities with the finance team.
• Perform amortization calculations.
• Review contracts for financial impact and compliance.
• Create slides for accounting reviews and the financial results package.
• Conduct strategic deal analysis.
• Own exit call evaluation and variance analysis.
• Create and implement scalable business mechanisms to drive data‑driven decisions.
• Establish a rhythm of business processes to help leaders understand progress to goals and provide strategic insights.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and present findings to senior leadership.

THE ROLE:

Partner with Procurement leadership and other members to manage GOQ financial and accounting activities. This includes strategic analysis for key customers, contract review, internal/external audit engagement, SOX compliance, month-end close and financial reporting.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a result driven approach, high sense of teamwork, ability to handle multiple topics at once, excellent communication skills, positive outlook, and the ability to speak up and make recommendations in a fast-moving environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consolidate / Coordinate quarterly close activities with finance team
• Amortization calculation
• Contract review
• Create slides for accounting reviews & financial results package
• Strategic deal analysis
• Own exit call evaluation and variance analysis
• Create and implement business mechanisms that are scalable to help the team make data-driven decisions

PERFERRED EXPEREINCE:

• Finance and/or accounting professional experience
• Semiconductor or high-tech industry experience
• Strong communication skills and experience working with international teams
• Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve
• Ability to lead teams in a cross-functional setting
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

ACADEMIC CREDITIALS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline preferred
