Job summary

AMD in Austin, TX seeks an experienced finance/accounting professional to partner with Procurement leadership and manage GOQ financial activities. You will perform strategic analysis for key customers, contract review, SOX compliance, month-end close, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong teamwork, sharp communication, and the ability to drive multiple topics in a fast-moving environment. Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills are required.

• Consolidate / Coordinate quarterly close activities with finance team
• Amortization calculation
• Contract review
• Create slides for accounting reviews & financial results package
• Strategic deal analysis
• Own exit call evaluation and variance analysis
• Create and implement business mechanisms that are scalable to help the team make data-driven decisions
• Build rhythm of the business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction
• Perform ad-hoc analysis proactively and present findings to senior leadership

THE ROLE:

Partner with Procurement leadership and other members to manage GOQ financial and accounting activities. This includes strategic analysis for key customers, contract review, internal/external audit engagement, SOX compliance, month-end close and financial reporting.
