Job summary

ChargePoint, a leader in EV charging hardware and software, is seeking a Staff Hardware Engineer to shape the system-wide architecture of next-generation charging platforms. You will own the system-level electrical design and guide board-level implementations across products, driving reliability and scalable manufacturing.

In this role, you will partner with software, mechanical, and thermal teams, establish architectural patterns, and mentor engineers to elevate the team’s design practices.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience engineering and architecting complex electronic products.
• Expert CAD, schematic, simulation, and PCB layout proficiency.
• Deep domain expertise in embedded systems, high-speed interfaces, power management, and analog control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and drive consensus across hardware, software, and mechanical teams.
• Strong track record of defining system-level architectures and successfully transitioning them to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own the system-level electrical architecture for next-generation charging platforms.
• Lead the development of complex board-level architectures and define block diagrams.
• Define integration strategies with software, mechanical, and thermal teams.
• Mentor engineers and elevate hardware reliability and feature integration.
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle from concept to volume manufacturing.
