Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Staff EO Signal Image Processing Engineer to lead high-fidelity seeker simulations and develop advanced EO/IR models for flight test readiness.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate across GNC, systems, software, and hardware teams, and drive optimization of algorithms for robust performance in challenging environments, including HWIL testing and real-time execution.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 10+ with a Master’s, or 8+ with a PhD.
• Experience in image/signal processing algorithm development and EO/IR seeker-related systems.
• Experience coordinating teams to deliver models and algorithm solutions for EO/IR systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of advanced, high-fidelity seeker simulations and physics-based models.
• Develop, implement, and integrate image and signal processing algorithms in simulation environments.
• Collaborate with GNC, systems, software, and hardware teams; provide requirements flow-down and test planning.
• Lead HWIL, lab, and real-time test activities; correlate simulations with flight data.
