Seagate Technology seeks a Staff Engineer for Manufacturing Process Integration (MPI) in Bloomington, MN. The role focuses on scaling HAMR wafer processes, improving manufacturability, throughput, and device performance, and leading process-technology experiments.

You will interact with Wafer Operations, Wafer Process Development, Wafer Design, and Product Engineering, delivering results to leadership and advancing automation and data-driven improvements.

Formación

• B.S. in an Engineering discipline or related field and 8+ years experience
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey complex technical subjects
• Ability to work in a clean room and be on-call for off-shift issues
• DOE and statistical process control techniques
• Occasional travel to international manufacturing sites

Responsabilidades

• Engage during development of HAMR reader and writer technologies
• Focus on process manufacturability and volume production readiness
• Prepare and present documented results to diverse audiences
• Design experiments to produce meaningful, accurate results
• Troubleshoot material, manufacturing process, and product design issues
• Interact with Directors to Technicians and Operators; communicate effectively
