Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead and manage components of complex projects or entire smaller initiatives in the HVAC space. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to support chillers through their life cycle and ensure design accuracy and released documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience (or a Master’s with 5+ years), strong communication, project leadership, and Six Sigma certification is a plus. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of professional systems engineering experience OR Masters degree and 5+ years of professional systems engineering experience.
• Experience in new product development, service and/or aftermarket HVAC space is preferred.
• Six Sigma Certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Managers several components of a complex project or all components of a smaller project
• Work cross-functionally with the organization to effectively introduce and support the chillers through their life cycle.
• Provide technical support for activities including quality escapes, non-conformances, turnbacks, and production disruptions.
• Defines chiller system level requirements with minimal supervision.
• Ensures product changes adhere to design standards, documented, validated, and released in accordance with company processes.
• Confirm product performance, capability and reliability utilizing system modeling and applicable test methodologies.
• Travel up to 10%.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of professional systems engineering experience OR Masters degree and 5+ years of professional systems engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Project leadership experience
• Experience in a new product development, service and/or aftermarket space HVAC industry experience
• Six Sigma Certification
• Strong communication skills

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

Thisposition is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
