Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems and APIs that power our platform. You will bridge high-level application logic with low-level systems execution, using Ruby on Rails and Go.

The role requires experience with distributed systems, modern languages, and containerized deployments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for our global cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend systems, services, and APIs.
• Translate complex business requirements into practical, performant, and maintainable system designs.
• Lead by example and provide technical leadership for a team of engineers.
• Contribute to the evolution of core APIs using Ruby on Rails and Go.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for services.
