Job summary

Endless Commerce is seeking a Senior Back-End Software Engineer to shape and scale our core platform. You will build and optimize backend services using Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and modern cloud tooling.

You will collaborate with engineers and product partners to deliver features, improve reliability, and drive architectural decisions that support growth and performance across our multi-channel commerce platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of back-end software development experience, with a focus on Ruby on Rails.
• Strong database design and management skills, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience with background processing using Sidekiq or similar tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Heroku, AWS, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and scalable web architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy back-end services and APIs using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Architect scalable solutions to handle high-volume data and transactions.
• Maintain and optimize existing code for stability and performance.
• Collaborate with front-end, product, and stakeholders to design and ship features.
• Monitor production systems, resolve incidents, and implement improvements.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in the team.
