Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. seeks a Staff Engineer to own Dry and Wet Etch and cleaning processes in a Wa state Fab. You will drive DOE/SPC-based improvements, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor engineers and technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include cross-functional collaboration, process transfer, and maintaining control strategies to ensure safe, compliant, and productive operations. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ChemE, Materials Science, EE, Physics or Chemistry.
  • 7+ years in semiconductor manufacturing with Dry/Wet Etch and Clean processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for Dry Etch, Wet Etch, and Clean process technologies.
  • Lead yield improvement via root-cause analysis and DOE/SPC methods.
  • Coordinate with Product, Equipment and Manufacturing teams for process transfer and qualification.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve throughput, cost, and robustness.

Learn more at www.analog.com and on LinkedIn and X.Responsibilities:* Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for Dry Etch, Wet Etch, and Clean process technologies in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.* Lead yield improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, defect reduction, and process optimization.* Develop, execute, and analyze Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies to improve process capability and product quality.* Drive continuous improvement projects focused on throughput, cycle time, manufacturability, cost reduction, and process robustness.* Lead qualification of new processes, equipment, toolsets, and technology transfers into manufacturing.* Troubleshoot and resolve complex process and equipment issues through data-driven problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.* Partner with Product, Integration, Equipment, and Manufacturing teams to ensure process compatibility, manufacturability, and production readiness.* Establish and maintain process control strategies, specifications, and documentation to support stable manufacturing operations.* Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel.* Lead cross-functional projects and represent Sustaining Engineering in support of organizational goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and operational excellence.Requirements:* Bachelors or Master’s degree in ChemE, Mat Sci, EE, Physics, Chemistry or a related discipline.* 7+ years of direct semiconductor industry experience, Subject Matter Experts (SME) with Dry and Wet Etch, Clean process technologies.* Ability to develop resolutions to transfer technology and qualify complex toolsets, resolve problems with diverse scopes requiring in-depth analysis.* Advanced understanding of statistical process control (SPC), MFG throughput, efficiency and engineering statistics.Preferred:* 7+ years of direct semiconductor manufacturing industry with experience on Applied Material Etchers, Wet Etch, FSI and/or JST equipment are a plus.* Significant CMOS/Bipolar knowledge of device physics as-well-as device integration.* 5+ years of interdisciplinary project management experience within semiconductor industry.* 5+ years of hands-on academic or industry experience with process and materials development.* Able to occasionally travel domestically and internationally as needed.*For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
