Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Camas, WA is seeking a senior process engineer to lead Dry Etch, Wet Etch, and Clean development in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

You will design and execute DOE and SPC programs to improve process capability, yield, throughput, and cost efficiency while mentoring engineers and technicians. The role requires 7+ years in semiconductor processing, strong problem solving, and the ability to transfer new toolsets across teams.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for Dry Etch, Wet Etch, and Clean process technologies in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Lead yield improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, defect reduction, and process optimization. Develop, execute, and analyze Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies to improve process capability and product quality. Drive continuous improvement projects focused on throughput, cycle time, manufacturability, cost reduction, and process robustness. Lead qualification of new processes, equipment, toolsets, and technology transfers into manufacturing. Troubleshoot and resolve complex process and equipment issues through data-driven problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. Partner with Product, Integration, Equipment, and Manufacturing teams to ensure process compatibility, manufacturability, and production readiness. Establish and maintain process control strategies, specifications, and documentation to support stable manufacturing operations. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel. Lead cross-functional projects and represent Sustaining Engineering in support of organizational goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in ChemE, Mat Sci, EE, Physics, Chemistry or a related discipline. 7+ years of direct semiconductor industry experience, Subject Matter Experts (SME) with Dry and Wet Etch, Clean process technologies. Ability to develop resolutions to transfer technology and qualify complex toolsets, resolve problems with diverse scopes requiring in-depth analysis. Advanced understanding of statistical process control (SPC), MFG throughput, efficiency and engineering statistics. Preferred: 7+ years of direct semiconductor manufacturing industry with experience on Applied Material Etchers, Wet Etch, FSI and/or JST equipment are a plus. Significant CMOS/Bipolar knowledge of device physics as-well-as device integration. 5+ years of interdisciplinary project management experience within semiconductor industry. 5+ years of hands-on academic or industry experience with process and materials development. Able to occasionally travel domestically and internationally as needed. For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $113,190 to $163,905. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors

  • This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
  • Benefits for the position includes 10 paid holidays per year, paid vacation starting at 136 hours per year for full-time employees (prorated for part-time employees), and paid sick time that exceeds the requirements of the Washington State Sick Leave law.
