Job summary

DTE Energy, based in Michigan, seeks an intermediate level engineer to evaluate and apply standard engineering techniques for operation and maintenance of company assets. You will join teams of engineers, technicians, and field staff to solve problems and optimize performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience; a Master’s and power systems exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree and electrical engineering/power systems exposure are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments and proposes solutions to problems.
• Works with experienced professionals to implement routine engineering and maintenance of assets.
• Collaborates with engineers to provide follow-up support within time and budget constraints.
• Develops data-driven models and presentations for management and external parties.
• Provides field engineering assistance or technical support as needed.
• Keeps up to date on current technology and trends.
