Job summary
Canonical is seeking a leader to drive engineering excellence and compliance for Ubuntu in automotive, aerospace, and other highly regulated environments. This is a remote-friendly, globally distributed role.
You will transform complex regulatory demands into concrete outcomes, define methods to measure quality, and unify agile practices across multiple teams. Location can be Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or the Americas, with a focus on global collaboration.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in engineering and process management in an agile environment.
- Knowledge or certification of standards addressing quality of software artifacts such as ISO/IEC 25010 or ASPICE.
- Love developing and growing people and teams with a track record of doing it.
- Led successful compliance and certification efforts; stakeholders management.
- Experience with Linux.
Responsibilities
- Lead and transform complex demands into concrete outcomes and engineering excellence values.
- Unify agile approaches across multiple projects and teams; internalize practices.
- Define methods for measuring quality and apply them to engineering culture.
- Establish strategic relations with external groups and partners.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to describe and implement continuous improvement.
