Job summary

Cashea in the United States is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Users vertical to own architecture of identity, profile, status, and user preferences, while accelerating onboarding and reducing friction.

You will design high-performance distributed APIs, integrate with KYC providers, implement resilient patterns, and mentor engineers, shaping the technical roadmap and driving the team toward scalable, secure user management.

Qualifications

• Staff or Principal Engineer with distributed systems experience at scale (identity platforms or high-traffic onboarding).
• Backend focus: Node.js/NestJS with TypeScript; strong in equivalent stacks like Rust or Go.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize the onboarding funnel including registration, KYC/KYB, and fraud prevention flows.
• Architect and evolve core user services (identity, profile, status, preferences) across the Cashea ecosystem.
• Engineer resilient integrations with external vendors (biometrics, fraud, KYC) with fallback patterns and circuit breakers.
• Model and propagate user lifecycle events across verticals for real-time decisions.
• Set coding standards, testing, observability, and safe rollback strategies for the users teams.
• Mentor engineers and translate product vision into architecture roadmaps.
