Job summary

QX Global Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer to contribute to Land Development projects on a full-time basis at our office in Raleigh, NC. The role involves overseeing development of land development plans, coordinating permits, and interfacing with clients to drive project success.

You will perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, prepare feasibility studies, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Strong CAD/Bluebeam skills and NC P.E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering).
• 4+ years of professional experience in Engineering, preferably with land development.
• P.E. license in NC is preferred.
• Experience with land development and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Proficiency with engineering tools such as CAD and project management software.
• Exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bluebeam is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of Land Development Plans; this includes the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specification, and engineering reports (from schematic design through construction).
• Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large scale, complex projects.
• Prepare feasibility studies, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Contribute to stormwater management design: Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling, Erosion and Sediment Control (E&S) planning, etc.
• Utilize advanced understanding of ordinances / regulations (local, state, & federal) as well as the relevant permitting process(es) to ensure compliance.
• Engage with regulatory agencies.
• Manage all aspects of project efforts and interface with clients.
• Nurture existing client relationships as well as developing new clients.
• Provide quality control of staff design & reports.
• Prepare proposals and track project budgets for profitability.
