Requirements include a B.S. in Civil Engineering, knowledge of civil engineering principles, proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD, and a drive to learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to take initiative and learn on the job.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Detail oriented and able to work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide general entry-level support to the public works engineering department.
• Utilize AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel for civil engineering grading, layout, drainage, utilities, and profile plan preparation.
• Coordinate with agencies, utility companies, and clients.
• Conduct site visits and field assessments.
• Process permits for Caltrans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
