Qualifications

• Completion of 60 semester units at an accredited college with major coursework in engineering science, construction management, or a related field.
• Two years of varied engineering experience at a level comparable to a Senior Engineering Aide in San Joaquin County service.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs drafting, computing, and checking of field operations related to layout and construction of roads, drainage, and water systems.
• Assists in the design of Public Works projects by preparing plans, profiles, cross sections, and estimates.
• Prepares and reviews maps, right-of-way deeds, and legal descriptions; locates survey points.
• Writes engineering specifications and assists in applying engineering design principles to assigned projects.
