Job summary

Career Collective in Pleasanton, CA seeks an Engineering Project Manager to coordinate and manage engineers and professionals on infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater facilities, stormwater, roadways, and site development. You will mentor junior team members and guide technical design.

Responsibilities include developing project scopes, timelines, leading client vision sessions, building relationships, writing proposals, and managing budgets with QA/QC of deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and related site design experience.
  • 3–4 years civil engineering experience in site design, land development, permitting.
  • Strong organization, analytical, communication and design abilities.
  • Knowledge of construction plans and public works relevance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project scopes and objectives, coordinate administrative and technical tasks.
  • Set short/long-term goals and assign specialized teams for timelines.
  • Schedule, lead, and attend client vision sessions.
  • Develop new relationships and strengthen partnerships.
  • Write project proposals and manage internal finances incl. billing.
  • Oversee asset/resource allocation and QA/QC on others' work.

Job description

As the Engineering Project Manager you will coordinate and manage the work of other professionals, providing practical, inspired designs for infrastructure projects ranging widely in scope, including water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, stormwater, small roadway, and site development assignments. You will serve as a mentor, teacher, and advisor, guiding junior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Develop project scopes and objectives and coordinate all project efforts -- both administrative and technical -- to ensure the most gainful and cost-effective outcome of assigned tasks.
  • Establish short and long-term goals and create appropriate timelines for their completion, subsequently assigning specialized teams to accommodate related needs.
  • Schedule, lead, and attend client vision sessions.
  • Develop new relationships and work to enhance existing partnerships.
  • Write project proposals
  • Provide management of internal finances, including billing, invoice generation, and asset/resource allocation
  • Perform quality assurance/control on others' work, verifying methodologies, calculations, outcomes, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 3-4 years of civil engineering experience related to site design, land development and land use permitting
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes plans and specifications, as well as their application and relevance to public works and construction projects.
  • Ability to foster a creative engineering environment.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Water CAD, Sewer CAD or Civil 3D, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite
