Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking a Staff Engineer I to own and administer the enterprise AI agent platform (Foundry). You will govern access, security, and governance, while coordinating with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure compliant, scalable operations.

The role requires 5+ years in software development, strong leadership, and experience with Microsoft Foundry tools; travel up to 25% may be expected.

Qualifications

5+ years of related software development experience.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience with Python, C#/.Net, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with Microsoft Foundry; Foundry IQ preferred.
Experience deploying Copilot Studio alongside Foundry-built agents or Power Platform preferred.
Understanding of AI models, consumption-based pricing, and long-term cost implications of enterprise AI workloads preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Financial Services or Banking regulatory requirements.
Strong cross-functional leadership and project management; Azure DevOps exposure.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical owner and administrator of the enterprise AI agent platform (Foundry) ensuring governance and security.
Manage platform operations: environment administration, access controls, monitoring, incident response, and governance.
Collaborate with security, infrastructure, identity and application teams to align solutions with enterprise standards.
Provide technical leadership for development, deployment, optimization and operation of AI agents supporting business processes.
Design platform-level monitoring and observability with meaningful metrics for partners and auditability.
