Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. located in Berkeley Heights, NJ seeks a Professional II, Software Verification to lead verification and validation of software for wireless features on 5G/LTE networks.

You will design test plans, execute automated/manual tests, analyze logs, and coordinate with R&D teams across regions. Requirements include a Master's degree in a related field and 3 years of experience with 5G NR, IMS, debugging tools, and Android platforms; travel up to 20% may be

Qualifications

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Three years of experience in 5G NR, LTE and IMS device validation and analysis aligning with 3GPP, GSMA and Carrier requirements
Experience with debugging protocol log analysis using QXDM, QPST, XCAL, and Wireshark tools
Development of communication protocols and 5G/4G/IMS technologies
End-to-end procedures for voice/data call establishment and interworking with core network entities
Experience with automation tools and Python automation frameworks

Responsibilities

Lead verification and validation of software design and functionality for projects under development
Test, automate, and execute test plans for Wireless Mobile operation and new UE/Network features on carrier networks
Drive field test trials in live networks across US carriers based on 5G/LTE technologies
Analyze test data and logs to identify root causes and coordinate with R&D
Create test plans using carrier requirements and 3GPP specs to ensure product compliance
