Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a motivated Staff Engineer to join our Highway & Traffic Department at our Wall Township, NJ headquarters. This entry-level role offers a path to develop expertise in roadway design, traffic engineering, and infrastructure projects while partnering with a growing NE engineering firm.

You will support design work, traffic studies, data collection, and coordination with multiple disciplines using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Synchro, and HCS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• EC applicants with EIT certification encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with roadway and traffic engineering principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and preparation of roadway and traffic plans including alignments and signage.
• Support traffic studies such as impact analyses and capacity analyses.
• Perform data collection, traffic counts, and field observations.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and attend project meetings.
