French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer to join our Highway & Traffic Department in Wall Township, NJ. You will assist in roadway design, traffic engineering plans, and supporting analyses using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and related tools.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and growth with a path toward professional licensure and future leadership opportunities. Summer 2027 start, relocation not offered, sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or co-op preferred).
• Familiarity with roadway/traffic engineering principles; EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and preparation of roadway and traffic engineering plans.
• Support traffic engineering studies such as traffic impact studies and capacity analyses.
• Perform data collection and analysis including traffic counts and field observations.
• Prepare technical reports and calculations; coordinate with internal teams.
