Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer to plan, design, and direct engineering testing projects including geotechnical design and predevelopment tasks.

The role involves analysis of data, preparation of reports, and collaboration with project teams both in the field and office. The candidate should have an E.I.T certification with a path to P.E., a civil/geotechnical/environmental engineering degree, and 1–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, geotechnical, or environmental engineering.
• E.I.T certification or ability to obtain P.E.
• 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on data.
• Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, and geologic data to plan and design.
• Prepares or directs reports, plans, testing schedules and designs.
• Inspects construction sites to monitor progress and safety.
• Uses CAD/engineering software to prepare documents.
• Directs activities at project sites as needed.
