URBN, the parent company of Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People and Nuuly, is hiring a Staff GenAI Engineer in Philadelphia, PA. You will build and operationalize image and video generation systems across the digital ecosystem, turning research prototypes into scalable services.

As a Staff level role, you will design end-to-end pipelines, develop agentic workflows, and integrate multimodal models while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business needs and deliver

Qualifications

• 1+ years hands-on experience building/operationalizing image generation systems in professional contexts.
• Proficiency with AI-powered development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code Copilot, Gemini).
• Experience designing agentic workflows using LangGraph, ADK, A2A, or CrewAI.
• Strong Python proficiency with PyTorch and/or Hugging Face experience.
• RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems; Docker, container orchestration, cloud infrastructure; Terraform/IaC; CI/CD and TDD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize image/video generation pipelines into production-ready services with attention to cost, latency, and throughput.
• Develop agentic workflows and microservices to orchestrate generative AI capabilities.
• Engineer prompt management systems and structured prompting strategies for consistent visual output in fashion and virtual try-on contexts.
• Integrate multimodal and vision-language models into production workflows for image understanding and quality pre-screening.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable generative AI solutions.
• Implement ML architecture enabling training and inference of generative models in production.
