Priority Wire and Cable is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer for our Chesapeake, VA office. The role offers attractive benefits and opportunities for professional and personal growth. The ideal candidate has a engineering degree, strong communication skills, and an interest in wire & cable. Prior internship or related experience is a plus.

• Previous internship or work experience in related field preferred.

Priority Wire and Cable is currently in need of a self‑starter who can quickly contribute and complement our team! It is an entry level Staff Engineer for our Chesapeake, VA office. The position will offer fantastic benefits and the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally!

Duties & Responsibilities

Some of your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in providing technical support to the company sales group, operation group, and customers.
• Assist in reviewing product quality and quality standards.
• Assist in reviewing and updating product specifications.
• Assist in maintaining and updating product listings/approvals from listing bodies and customers.
• Participate in technical research and preparing for technical presentations.
• Preparing/providing product certifications/test reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university majoring in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Has interpersonal communication and technical writing skills and is a team player.
• Prior internship or working experience in related field is preferred.
• Wire & cable industry working experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
