Job summary

Priority Wire and Cable is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer to contribute quickly at our Chesapeake, VA office. The role offers competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.

• Internship or related experience preferred; wire and cable exposure helps.

Job Overview

Priority Wire and Cable is currently in need of a self-starter who can quickly contribute and complement our team! It is an entry level Staff Engineer for our Chesapeake, VA office. The position will offer fantastic benefits and the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally!

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in providing technical support to the company sales group, operation group and customers.
• Assist in reviewing products quality and quality standards.
• Assist in reviewing and updating products specifications.
• Assist in maintaining and updating products listings/approvals from listing bodies and customers.
• Participate in technical research and preparing for technical presentations.
• Preparing/providing product certifications/test reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university majoring in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Has interpersonal communication and technical writing skills and be a team player.
• Prior internship or working experience in related field is preferred.
• Wire & cable industry working experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
