Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff Engineer – Reliability & Test Methods to provide technical leadership and system-level ownership for reliability engineering of motor gearboxes, inverters and drive units. This role is critical to ensuring durability, functional safety, and field reliability across current production and future vehicle programs.

At the Staff level, you will define reliability strategy, govern test methodologies, influence design decisions, and drive alignment across engineering,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of reliability engineering experience.
• Experience with electromechanical systems.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
• Knowledge of FMEA, ALT, Weibull analyses.

Responsibilities

• Define reliability strategy for drive unit systems.
• Govern test methods and validation for DV/PV.
• Lead analysis of test and field data for failure modes.
• Drive root cause investigations and supplier engagement.
• Mentor engineers and drive process improvements.
