Job summary

Lucid Motors seeks a Sr. Engineer for the Power Electronics Test & Validation team to own validation strategy and test setups for high‑voltage power electronics such as on‑board chargers and DC‑DC converters.

You will derive DVP&Rs, define acceptance criteria, and mentor junior engineers in a fast‑paced, rigorous environment. You will collaborate with design, reliability, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure test plans meet specifications and are traceable to requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power electronics development, test, and validation.
• Deep understanding of power electronics fundamentals (switching topologies, magnetics, gate drive, control loops, EMI/EMC, thermal design).
• Demonstrated ownership of DVP&Rs and validation programs through production launch.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive verification and validation strategy for power electronics products from concept through production release.
• Author and drive DVP&Rs with defined acceptance criteria and sample sizes.
• Architect system-level test setups including HV/LV interfaces, thermal/environmental conditioning, and data acquisition.
• Define test cell layouts, instrumentation, and lab requirements for HV and LV circuitry.
• Oversee design of test benches, jigs, fixtures, and DAQ systems with measurement accuracy and uncertainty.
• Lead root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Establish test methods, procedures, and automation standards across the team.
• Interface validation results to design reviews and program gates.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure safety and documentation standards.
